Dr. Thomas O. Cordy is an American entrepreneur based in Las Vegas. He was recently elected to the Nevada State College Foundation Board of Trustees.Prior to this, he retired, after 26 years of distinguished service, from the Board of Cox Enterprises a major Multi-Media company with corporate headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia (USA). He also served on the Boards of Kimberly Clark Corporation (USA), First Georgia Bank (USA), and Southern Bell Telephone & Telegraph Company which is now BellSouth (USA). He is the retired President and CEO of the Maxxis Group, Inc.(USA). Dr. Cordy also served as Vice President Min-Bank Capital Corporation and as Associate Director of the American Bankers Association, Washington, DC (USA) and as the Director of Finance and Treasurer for the Minority Contractors Assistance Project, Washington, DC (USA). He also served as a chairman of the board of Atlanta University and played an integral role in the merger to Clark Atlanta. He holds a BA in Economics from Morehouse College, an MA in economics from Atlanta University as well as an Honory Doctorate Degree of Humane Letters from CAU. He also attended the Stanford School of Business Executive Program and the University of Oklahoma Commercial Lending School.
