SHERRI DURAND, Senior Corporate Counsel
Sherri Durand joins Sustainability Partners as Senior Corporate Counsel. Ms. Durand will be responsible for legal review and customer contract development and execution. Her experience in utility services and infrastructure installation will help facilitate long term relationships with SP’s customers.
Ms. Durand’s career is committed to positively supporting sustainable development projects in our communities. She has over 25 years’ experience in finance, asset management, and contracting, including as senior in-house counsel for financial service providers and technical teams.
Ms. Durand also brings a background in government procurement, and in collaborating with engineering and resource planning on critical infrastructure projects. She previously managed Tucson Electric Power’s renewables, generation, fuels, and energy contracts, helping to solve the initial challenges of integrating solar and battery storage into the grid. Most recently she worked with the capital markets team at Ygrene Energy Fund to securitize property assessed clean energy (PACE) assets for energy efficiency improvement projects.
Ms. Durand earned her JD degree from the University of Kansas School of Law, and her MBA and BS in Psychology, Magna Cum Laude, from Emporia State University. Ms. Durand was a law clerk for the Kansas Corporation Commission – Utilities Division.
