Adam Cain

Adam Cain serves as President of Sustainability Partners, where he is responsible for the firm’s overall operating performance, including the integration of capital deployment, project execution, and enterprise-wide growth.

In this role, Adam leads the coordination of SP’s multidisciplinary platform spanning capital markets, origination, legal structuring, engineering, project facilitation, regional operations, marketing, and customer retention. He ensures consistent execution of the company’s Infrastructure as a Service® model across the full lifecycle of SP’s projects, from origination and underwriting through delivery and long-term performance, with a focus on scalability, risk management, and disciplined returns.

Adam brings a distinctive combination of legal, transactional, and operating experience to SP. Prior to joining the company, he was a partner at DLA Piper, one of the world’s largest global law firms. His background enables him to align legal frameworks with business objectives, streamline deal execution, and manage risk across a diverse portfolio of public and private sector engagements.

Since joining SP, Adam has played a central role in building the company’s operating systems, expanding its market presence, and executing on its long-term growth strategy. He works closely with the executive team to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and measurable results across all business units.

Adam is known for his disciplined approach to execution, cross-functional leadership, and ability to manage complex transactions from concept through completion. He leads by example, fostering a high-performance culture and driving the development of scalable processes that support sustainable growth. 

He holds a J.D. from Pepperdine University and B.A. from Point Loma Nazarene University. Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with his wife and three children exploring the great outdoors – scuba diving, bodyboarding, flyfishing, and playing soccer.
