Jason McGaugh
Chief Capital Officer
Jason McGaugh serves as Sustainability Partners' Chief Capital Officer and a member of the Executive Committee. In this role, he leads the firm's capital strategy, investment processes, portfolio governance, and risk management across SP's Infrastructure as a Service® platform.
Jason oversees SP’s Capital Team and the full lifecycle of infrastructure investments, including origination, underwriting, transaction structuring, execution, asset management, and performance monitoring. Under his leadership, SP has deployed hundreds of millions in infrastructure assets across water and wastewater, microgrid, EV fleet and charging, solar, HVAC and energy efficiency sectors, serving municipalities, state agencies, utilities, universities, and healthcare systems.
He brings deep expertise in Investment Tax Credit structures and monetization, including direct pay provisions under the Inflation Reduction Act applicable to SP’s tax-exempt public-sector customers.
A recognized thought leader in infrastructure funding alternatives, Jason regularly contributes insights on infrastructure investment, Infrastructure as a Service® models, and public-sector infrastructure finance through industry publications, conferences, and professional forums.
Prior to joining SP, Jason spent nearly a decade with one of the largest renewable energy manufacturing companies in the Western hemisphere, where he led global FP&A functions supporting $3 billion in annual revenue, directed M&A evaluation, and provided strategic financial leadership across multiple lines of business. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly 17 years in investment banking and advisory roles, executing over $2 billion in enterprise value across buy-side, sell-side, and capital raise transactions in industrial, energy, and agricultural industries.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and an MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Throughout his career, he has held numerous FINRA securities licenses.
