Brian is SP’s lead Partner in California and Alaska while also supporting municipalities nationally in areas of energy and decarbonization, ports, fleets, healthcare, and a variety of other verticals.

With two decades of diverse experience in policy, finance, development and municipal infrastructure, Brian has assisted myriad government agencies, nonprofits and private organizations ranging from early-stage startups to the Fortune 500. His efforts pairing federal, state and local funding with tax-advantaged sources has generated millions in new revenue, savings and avoided operating costs for local agencies.

Prior to joining SP, Brian served as Managing Director of a boutique consulting and development services firm. His work spanned the full lifecycle of municipal projects and involved an array of ownership, finance and construction delivery methods.

Brian’s government service began in California’s State Senate, where he served as a Consultant for the Business, Professions and Economic Development Committee with a focus on international trade. He is an alum of the University of California at Davis.
