JOSEPH YUHAS, Infrastructure Partner

Joe Yuhas brings to Sustainability Partners a diverse background in both the public and private sectors. His body of work has immersed him in the complex public policy and political process, and the opportunities and obstacles to achieve community stability and growth through wise capital investments.

A public affairs strategist, Joe has guided public outreach and advocacy programs on behalf of government agencies, non-profit organizations, Fortune 500 clients and local brands, and community causes. His public sector challenges include assignments on behalf of the Arizona Governor’s Office, Arizona Board of Regents, Arizona Office of Secretary of State, Arizona Department of Transportation, and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, among others.

In guiding over 50 successful state and local ballot measure campaigns, Joe has advanced capital funding for major economic and community development, education, transportation, recreation, and public safety investments, helping to provide the infrastructure to meet the needs of one of the fastest growing states in the nation.

Appointed by a former Arizona Governor to provide day-to-day guidance of the Arizona Department of Commerce, Joe collaborated with C-level executives, local leaders, and economic development professionals to attract over 60 new companies to the state, creating over 10,000 new jobs.

Prior to relocating to Arizona, Joe held elected public office in his native state of New Jersey where he gained his foundational experience in nurturing community development through sound capital investments. He ultimately advanced to the Mercer County Board of Commissioners and the NJ General Assembly.

Beyond his service in elected office, Joe’s public service commitments include appointments to the Arizona Water Infrastructure Financing Authority, Arizona Film Commission, Arizona Governor’s Tourism Advisory Council, Arizona Baseball Commission, City of Phoenix Building Standards Commission, and City of Phoenix Vision Zero Advisory Committee.
