ROBERT CRISTE, Infrastructure Partner
With over 30 years’ experience in real estate development and water related technologies, Rob joins Sustainability Partners as Infrastructure Partner in the State of Georgia.
Rob began his career in high-end golf course construction throughout the United States, Mexico and various Caribbean Nations. His expertise expanded into sustainable land-use-planning of resorts and master-planned community developments. Rob was instrumental in introducing Seashore Paspalum (salt-tolerant turfgrass) as well as soil moisture sensors to the global golf market. He has extensive knowledge of soil science, water use efficiency; and using technology to mitigate irrigation output. Rob worked closely with legendary Golf Course Architects such as Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Pete Dye, etc. One of his last assignments in the golf industry was working personally for Phil Mickelson as Phil’s Director of Architectural Design Business Development.
He then transitioned into municipal water and wastewater technologies. Rob is a subject-matter expert in water and wastewater software, biology and chemistry, distribution systems, and regulatory affairs. He has worked extensively with municipal projects including public funding of both water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Rob holds a Bachelors in English and Economics from Elon University in Burlington, NC, and a Master’s in Global Finance and Spanish from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, AZ. He lives in Newnan, GA, plays doubles tennis, is an avid golfer, and loves ancient history.
